Draping curtains
over mirrors
and
kissing fire upon
the mouth
Scattering scars
throughout these
pages
a menagerie of truths
Don't say
I never asked you
To dance
With me
Nor offered you
more than a transcendental
existence
Leaving snapshots
of myself
As I reveled
in your fiction
why ask for me only to leave again?
if you have read me
then you know
that doors slam shut
and reopen
somewhere else
and
deception can be honored
with truth
i wanted to learn
from you
i am just what
i have been
here
real and leaving
little in the
way of expectations
aware of the beauty
of anonymity
just done
with the fairy tales
you know where to find me
(not here)
and there will
always be an
opening door
for that
