The Self-Serving Man

It is true and important
To know this one thing;
That humans aren't perfect
All want to be king!
Their brains are now bigger--
But bigger than what?
Enough to cause mayhem
And discord and such?
Enough to melt ice caps
That sustainance brought?
Enough that now NO ONE
Truly knows what we ought?
Like a bull around china
Or a kid at a mall
Seems there's no one to keep us
From BLOWING IT ALL
But I laugh...just a little
Enough to stay sane
As it seems to all fit
Man's self-serving gain.
