he stole me.
with a heavy tongue
still and silent
my body crept towards the earth
worms called for me
and birds ignored the ceasing flesh
battered boards
of a forgotten barn
crowded me
keeping secrets
sweat rolled from him
as if it were ashamed
scattered on the dirt floor
I was blood, violence, and
bones
I dripped from my finger tips
as wine
trickled
from his obsession
covered in one another
he ground
motor oil
seed
and
dollar store aftershave
into me
my useless pores
static lips
and soft channel
he trespassed
his calculated
indignities
lay outside and in
rage filled
his hands
until he saw my thoughts
and tenderness
and soon
my colors would tell
how he leveled me
on the ground
after he momentarily
cured his lust
freed my throat
and fixed my pupils
with perfection
i abadoned you
