Death

by Marlena - Cancer

How shitty life must be for one to take their own life away.
Its easy to judge on the outside never knowing what lies inside.
Real pain will make your heart bleed
Making you feel like all hope is lost
There is no way for you to come back on top
The misery within holds you down
Trying to pick yourself up and go is easy said then done
While your desire to end your suffering grows on strong
Like a cancerous cell you can not dodge.
Don’t judge what you know not.
You have never walked in the shoes of the lost and hopelessness of a fallen soul
For death is the only name they know.
Life is the past which haunted them with chains
Bearing down their hearts with so much emptiness inside.
Love could never find the key to unlock the darkness they hold inside.
Long live them all in solitude.
Now the peace is the silence they reap.
May God have mercy upon their souls and bless them
with the love they were shown but doubt it ever
was theirs to have.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem for someone who passed. Depression is tough and hard and when you try to shower someone with your love whose goign through this rough state, nothing seems to help them if they dont want to be help. RIP my friend.
