If God gave me wings to fly, would you let me take you to 10,000 miles above this place so that there would be no problems? Would you let me fly you to a place where the past couldn't reach and only the future is the true present? Would you let me surround you with my wings so that you will be sheltered from all harm when it comes? Could you be comfortable enough to let me remain there with you until your heart wants to go back? Did I ever have a chance when I heard "I love you" come from your lips? If I could take you before the gates of paradise, could I just lie there with you for a little while or would you wish for me to leave? You'll never have to run if you're willing to let me carry you. 20,000 miles would guarantee that only God will be there when the world wishes to tear everything apart. But in actuality, if I had been blessed by God with my wings, I'd probably still end up flying alone.
